Last weekend I finally managed to nab my mom's Polaroid camera. I've been wanting to play with it for ages. The only sad thing was she had no film :( It had been years since the camera was used, and she honestly wasn't sure if it even worked anymore. :/
Lucky for me though, my super awesome friend Kelly knew of my love for Polaroid. She stopped by the TV station (where I work) on Valentine's Day and surprised me with...POLAROID FILM! AHHHHHHHH!
Yes, she even included the heart on the package. VERY sweet! I was jumping with excitement. I guess Polaroid use to be sold at Urban Outfitters a while ago, or at least that's where she bought this pack from. It had expired in 2009, but I really didn't care. I wanted to give it a whirl.
Here are a couple shots from that cartridge...I still have 4 more to go.
Ben's supper, which consisted of mashing a banana into some chicken dinner. Nom noms!
Obligatory mirror shot.
Marisa & her beloved spring roll.
Haha, it was pretty funny taking the photo of Marisa...we were at a Chinese Buffet when I whipped out the Polaroid. I snapped the shot and the camera made the *beloved* Polaroid sound we know and love! After the flash had gone off Marisa exclaimed "Holy f-ck that's BRIGHT." Everyone turned to see what the hell had happened. We laughed. I saw a couple of weirded-out faces, but you know what? Who cares. I'm as happy as a clam right now.
I won a couple of bids on Polaroid 600 film off ebay the other night, so now I'm again patiently waiting for the awesome packages to arrive.
Do any of you out there still use Polaroid? Any suggestions on where to find film? Ebay is going to suck my bank account dry....
Ciao for now!
