AUGUST BREAK FINALE!

A week after I had my tarot cards read, my friend was going through her deck of cards at home and this one slipped out.  Perhaps it was a sign?  Anywho, she felt that I should have it.

The resemblance is uncanny, isn't it?

Hey kids!  It's Folklore Friday!  This week I thought I'd post this video.  I remember watching this on TV well over a decade ago and I loved it.  Hell, I even taped it and I still have it somewhere.  Oh yeah.

The video was an hour long special with different ghost stories and haunted locations.  Kinda creepy.  The part that use to ALWAYS freak me out is at 7:09.

I've only posted the first part of this show, you can click the video to follow through to the sequential parts if you so wish.

If you have an interesting tale or legend from your part of the world, email me! eeegadserin (at) gmail (dot) com.

Jamaica Inn

Hey guys!  Folklore Friday is here again!  Sorry for not posting last week, as most of you may know there's been a lot going on in my real life.  Anywho, this week we'll wrap up the little mini-series I have going on with Rosie.  She lived in Cornwall and has many ghostly stories to tell.  Take it away!

Jamaica Inn in Launceston (immortalised by the Daphne Du Maurier book) was featured on the ghost hunting show ‘Most Haunted’ – where they came into contact with no less than 15 different ghosts.  Jamaica Inn itself was notorious for smuggling in the 1700s and has many, many stories of treachery, scandal (and murder) associated with it.  One concerns the story of a stranger, who stood at the bar enjoying a tankard of ale. Upon being summoned outside, he left the half finished ale and stepped out into the night. That was the last time he was seen alive. The next morning his corpse was found on the bleak moor but the manner of his death and the identity of his assailant still remain a mystery.  Previous landlords, upon hearing footsteps tramping along the passage to the bar, believe it is the dead man's spirit returning to finish his drink.  On a moonlit night the sound of horses hooves and the rims of coaches wheels can be heard on the cobbles on the courtyard outside (with nothing to be seen), and ghosts have been sighted sitting motionless on the wall outside, and the ghost of a man in a hat and cloak can also be seen walking through doors inside the Inn.

(Note from Erin: I did find a video from the Most Haunted episode.  This is the 2nd part, as for some reason I'm "not allowed" to watch the first part here in Canada.  Derrrr.)

Great Mail Day!

I was just about to leave for work when Canada Post buzzed my number...my package from Nova arrived!!! HELL YEAH!  We had agreed to do a swap...her 360 Spinner Camera for a Diana 35mm Back.  Done deal.

Along with the camera, Nova sent some other fantastic goodies.

Pretty effing cool.  I love the luchador cat mask, now if only I had some windows to spy into while wearing it.... (I kid, I kid.)

Got any good mail lately?

Ciao!

Axolotls Love Chopsticks

I thought I'd share this fun little video I made.  When Brendan was visiting last week I decided it was high time I film the axolotls being fed with chopsticks.  Yes, chopsticks.  We read about it on a forum and it's actually pretty entertaining.  The axi in the video is named Murderface.  As for the little pink and white guy I also have...he's still nameless.  Any good ideas for a name?

Cute, right?
Ciao!
