There's some parts of downtown where I live that I try to avoid, especially at night. One place in particular is east of the downtown area. It's a shame, really...it contains beautiful old architecture, but it seems that the city has decided to leave it on the wayside, and instead focus on ever expanding suburbs.
I think these old buildings have potential. And I hope that the writing on their walls never fades away.

These photos are really beautiful... Abandoned buildings make fascinating subject material.
These are amazing! We have some old buildings with ads on the side in my town. I love them. So much character. Fortunately they're trying to get money into that area and clean it up. Which makes me happy because there is so much rich history and beautiful architecture. Those new suburbs have nothing on downtown ;)
