Road Trip 2012: Victoria Blossoms

One thing I loved while we were in Victoria was how it felt like we fast-forward one month into the future.  When we left Edmonton in early April we were driving in the middle of a blizzard.  Within a couple days we were on the island and everything was lush and green.

It's only been recently that it's started to really green-up here in Edmonton, but I have yet to see blossoms quite like this here.

What screams spring to you?  To me it's blossoms and the fact that it's daylight past 9 pm here!

Later gators!

Beautiful! I love trees that burst into blooms! I vow to have one in my yard someday!

I was in Vancouver for Easter and I lost my shit when I saw daffodils growing and trees blooming. Alberta takes forever to catch up to B.C.

I just adore seeing everything turn from grey and brown to beautiful spring colours. And that's not to mention the smell of those blossoms! Yum.
