Last week was a good mail day for me. I had bought some expired 35mm film off eBay and it finally arrived, all the way from Athens, Greece! It was $23 for 20 rolls, free shipping, and 7 years expired. I couldn't pass it up. (I've already used 2 rolls, as you guessed.)
I bought the Lo-Fi Photo Fun book quite a while ago but haven't actually tried out any of the projects in it yet. Now I'm looking forward to cross processing and even making my own red scale film (easier than you thought!)
I actually took a few photos with my Diana Mini this past weekend while we were staying out at my grandparents. I won't show all the photos just yet, but here's one:
I'm pretty happy with the results! Slightly blue, but that's winter for ya.
Have you experimented with expired film? How did it go?

expired film is always so fun to use. I like soaking my film in salt water or keeping it in the sun for a few days.
I want to do this sooooo badly!!! I've got the cameras, but haven't tried the expired film yet though.... one of these days when I have extra bucks!
What a great deal on the film! Can't wait to see more photos. I haven't used expired before, but my brother got me some cool ones for X-mas that I'm excited to use!
I have a slew of old cameras and I have been really busy buying expired film for them. So far I have been really loving the expired film for my kodak instamatic and expired polaroid is always a treat.
Cheers.
The pipe really adds to the vintage-acity!
What a good score! I love the look of expired film and I'm usually a fan of slightly bluer photos :)
Expired film just tends to lose its colour, it has less contrast and is often milky.
I am still making my way through expired Polaroid right now. That tends to go a little green, or the chemicals leak. Fun!
