Spur Of The Moment

Last Wednesday night my friend/tattoo artist had posted on his Instagram account that he had some free spaces on Thursday and Friday for tattoos.  I replied back writing "I wish!"  Then I thought about...why wish about it when I can just swing by before work and get something done quick?

So I did.

I had a maneki neko tattooed on the left side of my neck over a year ago in white and blue.  I thought it would be fun to get a matching tattoo on the other side of my neck. I chose red this time because it's my favourite colour and why not?

All in all the process took an hour.  I was at work by 2 and contended with co-workers taking a peek at my new tattoo. I don't mind the curiosity, just no touchie please.

Have you gotten a spur of the moment tattoo? Tell me your story.

Much love,

~E & R

Eeep. I don't have a single tattoo. Needles freak me out! Ha.

Yours is cute, though. How many do you have?

That's so bad ass. I wish I could do something like that, but unfortunately my tattoo guy doesn't work locally.

Anyways, just wanted to say hi and that I was stopping in from "The Totally Awesome" blog hop. Hope you're having a great day!

Your new tattoo is fantastic!

The first two tattoos I had done were spur of the moment tattoos: one after dinner with a group of friends and the second was done on my first trip to NYC. I think the reason I love them both so much is not because of the designs, but because of the memories attached to getting them done.

I love your spur of the moment idea!

I actually got my back tattoo spur of the moment, but i knew what I'd wanted for awhile. I just wasn't planning on getting it that day. (:

You can see it here if you'd like-

My two sisters and I decided on triple spirals one night, phoned the tattoo shop the next day and got in. The tattoo is so meaningful to me because it signifies so much.

So cute! I have 10 tats and about half of them were spur-of-the-moment. The other half were planned out for about a day before I got them. And yes, I love them all. :)

Love it! I don't have any tattoos (or piercings) due to my massive phobia of needles but I love seeing other peoples, it's such a unique art form xo

Oh I love it! My tattoo was spur of the moment-ish. The same day I thought of it I made the appointment, which was a little less than a week later. When I thought of it, though, it felt like I had always known and wanted it. Which is kind of cheesey.
